The system begins with a source of compressed air, typically provided by an air compressor. This compressed air is stored in a reservoir or air tank and is used to power various pneumatic components. Pneumatic placement systems consist of several key components, including pneumatic actuators, valves, hoses, and control systems. These components work together to create controlled movement and pressure.
Pneumatic placement, such as pneumatic cylinders or grippers, are the primary components responsible for movement. These actuators contain a piston that moves back and forth within a cylinder. When air pressure is applied to one side of the piston, it creates a force that causes the piston to extend or retract. A control system is used to regulate the operation of the pneumatic components. It can include manual control devices, such as buttons or switches, or be fully automated using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and sensors. The control system ensures that the actuators move precisely and in coordination with the desired tasks.
